HUD’s Housing Counseling Program - funds housing counseling agencies all across the country that offer expert, unbiased guidance and information to help families meet their housing needs and improve their financial situations. In addition, HUD-approved housing counseling agencies are a safeguard against scams and discrimination, as well as a trustworthy gateway to local, state, federal and private housing assistance.
