It's important to get in touch with VHDA as soon as possible when you start having trouble making house payments. In many cases contacting us early in the process will make it easier for us to help you to work out a plan to get you back on track, depending on your situation and how far behind you are.
If you're having financial difficulties and want to be considered for a VHDA Loss Mitigation program, financial information is required.
Online Entry
Online entry of your financial information can easily be done.
- Go to Customer CareNet https://carenet.fnfismd.com/vhda/
- Enter your User ID and Password. If you don't have one you can easily set one up.
- Select "Late Payments" from the menu on the left.
- Select the option "Update Financials".
- You will receive a letter acknowledging your online entry.
- You will still need to download the Borrower's Financial Package and submit it a long with the other information requested below.
- Hardship letter
- Two consecutive and current pay-stubs for all household income.
- Verification of any other income.
- Checking and savings bank statements for the last two months.
- Tax returns for the last two years.
If you are unable to submit the financial package on line, please follow these steps:
1. Download the Borrower's Financial Package from the link below.
2. Complete the forms included in the package-Borrower Financial Statement, Request for Transcript of Tax Return and Home Affordable Modification Program Hardship Affidavit.
3. In addition to the forms in the package you'll need to include:
- Hardship letter
- Two consecutive and current pay-stubs for all household income.
- Verification of any other income
- Checking and savings bank statements for the last two months.
- Tax returns for the last two years.
4. Sign completed forms and send them to:

Once VHDA receives your financial package, you'll receive an acknowledgement or a request for more information.
