Re: Change in Business Hours
VHDA has implemented a 4-day work week with extended daily hours for July and August to conserve energy and help mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs. Our condensed work week will be Monday through Thursday and core business hours are 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (EST) beginning Wednesday, July 9, 2008. As a result the VHDA Headquarters Building on Belvidere Street will be closed Fridays.
Single Family Development will have limited staff available offsite at our Virginia Housing Center training facility to respond to unforeseeable emergencies. On Friday’s, these staff members may be contacted at 804-915-3175 for emergencies only. Since staff will be located offsite, they will not have access to loan files and documents. If an emergency issue that must be addressed on Friday is anticipated, lenders are requested to notify VHDA Single Family staff no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday.
Registration for VHDA’s on-line Homeownership Education course should be made Monday through Thursday at 1-877-VHDA123. We anticipate on-line registration capabilities will be available by the end of July.
During this period VHDA will extend the time frame that we will accept disbursement requests until 2:00 PM Monday – Thursday. Disbursement requests must be received by 2:00 PM on Thursday for loans scheduled to close on Friday or Monday.
VHDA’s website and on-line loan reservation system will be available as usual 24 hours, 7 days a week. Rates will remain unchanged from close of business on Thursday through Monday morning.
VHDA will make every effort to accommodate our customers’ needs during our revised work schedule. We ask our lenders to help support us in this effort by expediting loan review and disbursement requests as early in the process as possible. We appreciate your support in our efforts to conserve energy.
