This structured outreach is a comprehensive effort by VHDA to make real and measurable progress towards increasing homeownership opportunities for African Americans throughout the Commonwealth.
Partnerships
Positive dialogue with local communities, neighborhood associations and housing development partners focuses on:
- Promoting homeownership opportunities and affordable mortgage programs.
- Empowering consumers by advancing the agenda of financial education.
- Strengthening relationships with community-based organizations and local housing agencies.
- Providing capacity to non-profit organizations addressing the needs of underserved communities.
- Partnering with faith-based organizations and historically black colleges and universities.

Examples of successful participation to further our outreach to the African American community have included, but are not limited to:
